Erythropoietin, commonly referred to as ‘EPO,’ is known as one of the most successful biotech drugs in history. Used to treat anemia (and as notorious as a sports doping agent) EPO stimulates red blood cell production in the bone marrow. As a highly glycosylated glycoprotein cytokine with 40 percent of its weight composed of sugars and important critical quality attributes like sialylation and antennary glycans, EPO has also been historically very difficult to characterize by traditional approaches.
In this webinar, we’ll describe a more straightforward method for EPO separation using ZipChip, a front-end separation device leveraging microchip-based capillary zone electrophoresis. Further, we will also show how to perform data interrogation in a matter of minutes via Protein Metrics.
